Information You Send Directly
Names, phone numbers, and addresses entered into the search boxes are sent to the third-party provider that powers those results. Alhambra Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches on its own servers. If you contact the operators, the message and any details it contains are used to respond.
Information Collected by Hosting
Normal server logs may include an IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time stamps. These technical records help keep the service working and show, in aggregate, which local-record pages receive attention. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement when enabled.
How Limited Data Is Used
Data is used to operate the pages, diagnose faults, understand general traffic, and improve the reference. Visitor lists are not sold, and individual user profiles are not built from the small amount of information received directly.
Links to County, State, and Other Services
Pages link to Los Angeles County Assessor and Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk portals, California state searches, the Superior Court, Alhambra offices, the Civic Center Library, archives, and sponsored search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy statement and controls what happens to information submitted there. Those outside policies govern the submission once it leaves this reference.
Who Can Receive Technical Data
Hosting and maintenance providers may process server logs while supporting the service. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Information may also be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it; it is not otherwise provided as a visitor list.
Security and Retention
Connections use encryption, and technical logs are retained only for the operational purposes described in this policy. There are no user accounts here, so the service does not hold a password or personal profile for a visitor to expose.
Visitors Under 18
The material is intended for adults and is not directed to children. Personal information from anyone under 18 is not knowingly collected. If a minor may have sent personal details, contact the operators so the information can be located and deleted where it is under our control.
California Privacy Choices
Where applicable, the California Consumer Privacy Act, including California Civil Code §1798.100 et seq., may provide rights to know, correct, or delete certain personal information held by a covered business, along with rights concerning sale, sharing, and sensitive personal information. California's Delete Act, SB 362, Civil Code §1798.99.80 et seq., provides the DROP process for requests directed to registered data brokers. Because this reference retains very little, a request generally means checking the contact mailbox and operational logs and removing information within our control. Use the Contact page for that request.
The California Public Records Act guidance explains that Government Code §7920.000 et seq. governs access to qualifying nonexempt records held by public agencies. It does not give this private reference control over deeds, court files, voter data, or vital records held by Alhambra, Los Angeles County, or California custodians. Removal requests for those records belong with the office that maintains them.
Changes to This Policy
When the privacy policy changes, the revised text will be posted here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
