Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Alhambra Residents Directory. Accessing or using the reference means you accept them. If you do not accept these conditions, do not use the pages or linked tools.

1. What Alhambra Residents Directory Is

Alhambra Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections connected with Alhambra, Los Angeles County, and California. It does not host government records and is not affiliated with the City of Alhambra, any county or state office, a court, a library, or another records custodian.

2. Lawful Use Rules

Use the reference only for lawful purposes. You may not use it or information reached through it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm another person
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or impersonation
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions
  • Scrape, duplicate, or republish the pages at scale
  • Attack, disrupt, or bypass the service's operation or security

3. No Consumer Reporting Agency

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. §1681 et seq. Neither its content nor information returned by a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing from the reference may be used for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA.

4. External Portals and Services

County, state, court, library, archive, and sponsored-search links lead to services with their own terms, prices, availability, and privacy practices. Alhambra Residents Directory does not control those outside services and is not responsible for their content or data handling.

5. No Promise of Accuracy

The pages are supplied “as is” and “as available.” No warranty is made that a detail is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for a particular purpose, or that an outside portal will remain online or return a result.

6. Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource, including an action taken from a record found through it.

7. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold the operators harmless from claims, demands, losses, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your misuse of the pages, a linked tool, or a violation of these terms.

8. Copyright and Site Material

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution is welcome. Full-page republication or systematic copying is not permitted.

9. Revisions to These Terms

A revised version may be posted at any time. Continued use after the new text appears means that the revised terms are accepted.

10. Suspension or Restriction

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms, abuses a linked service, or interferes with the reference. The operators may take that action without advance notice.

11. California Governing Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The California Public Records Act, Government Code §7920.000 et seq., may govern access to qualifying nonexempt records held by a public agency, but it does not override court procedures, voter-information rules, confidential vital records, or other specific access laws. Nothing here changes the authority of the Alhambra, Los Angeles County, or California custodian that holds a record.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent the law permits.
